A graduate of Natural Gourmet Institute in Manhattan, Nathan Donahoe has a passion for health and farmers market fresh food. Former Executive Chef of The Canyon and Riviera Recovery in Malibu, California he uses his knowledge of the healing power of foods to help his clients recover from the effects of drugs and alcohol. A dedicated food and health activist, in April 2010 he became an elected city official for Los Angeles as the Chair of Medical Cannabis for the West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council (WLANC) where he advocates for sensible and safe regulations for patients, community and works as a caregiver for the sick and the dying. As a writer, he contributes regularly to The Natural Gourmet Institute Newsletter, has been interviewed by The New York Daily News about dairy and is working on rough drafts for several books. He spends his free time playing blues harmonica, dancing, yoga and making love with food in Los Angeles.
