An author, educator, and clinical nutritionist, Kathie is recognized as a dietitian who is “making a difference”. Kathie is an adjunct faculty member at Saybrook University College of Mind Body Medicine and has been the Education Director for Food As Medicine, the nationally acclaimed professional training program sponsored by the Center for Mind Body Medicine for over a decade.
Kathie is the Chief Nutrition Advisor for MyFoodMyHealth, an online program that provides customized meal plans for individuals with various health conditions, and created www.myfoundationdiet.com, a gluten and dairy free elimination food plan. She also shares her passion for the power of food as a teacher of healthy living programs at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA.
Kathie helped developed cutting-edge nutrition programs at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires and Dr. Mark Hyman’s UltraWellness Center. Kathie is currently the Delegate for the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and received their Visionary Leadership Award for her service in this emerging area of practice.
Kathie maintains a food-centric and heart-core approach to health and healing, weaving in mind-body medicine, qigong and other movement practices along with integrative nutrition therapies. Kathie teaches her audiences and readers how to create vibrant, nourishing lives combining the very best of modern science, nature and wisdom. Kathie is the co-author with Dr Gerard Mullin of The Inside Tract: Your Good Gut Guide to Health(Rodale, 2011).
